The IC anaerobic tower consists of five basic parts: mixing zone, expanded bed zone for granular sludge, fine treatment zone, internal circulation system and water outlet zone. The internal circulation system is the core part of IC process and consists of bottom three-phase separator, methane riser, gas-liquid separator and mud-water downcomer.
