Landfill leachate is a kind of organic wastewater with complex components, a large number of " carcinogenic and teratogenic" compounds and heavy metals. If improperly treated, the leachate will pollute groundwater, drinking water surface sources, thus harming to the environment and human body drastically.
The membrane-concentrated leachate effluent treated by this process can qualify the first-class A standard of " Standard for Pollution Control on the Landfill Site of Municipal Solid Waste " (GB16889-2008). The quality of the effluent can even reach the domestic water reuse standard of " Code for Desing of Wastewater Reclamation and Reuse " (GB50335-2002).
The effluent quality after biochemical and membrane bioreactor system (MBR) cannot qualify the discharge standard thoroughly, so the effluent from MBR system needs further advanced treatment.
